Thermal Imaging Therapy
Thermal imaging has many applications and although injury prevention is at the heart of what we do, monitoring current injuries and illness is also possible. Once you have your diagnosis, recovery and treatment options can raise their own questions. If you have treatment options how certain can you be that the option you have chosen is making a significant difference to your recovery? Thermal imaging can provide you with a map which can accurately detect whether recovery is occurring and to what extent. All reports are in email format so not only will you have a copy of your images but they can easily be forwarded to your health care professional. This teamwork approach means you will be maximising your recovery and have peace of mind of exactly how your body is progressing.
In this case the client had recently been diagnosed with a long-term condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis. There is no cure but there are a number of treatment options to try to reduce the symptoms. Thermal imaging was used to obtain a base line image before any treatments were started. This base line image will be used to monitor the progress of the disease and a measure of how effective treatments are. The inflammatory pattern in this base line image (red areas) matched with the client's pain symptoms.
